Moved and stunned at Vivek’s answer to the Black pastor on a question about racism.
I got the notion that perhaps the American Blacks can concertedly begin to exercise Mercy. Mercy is supremely individual and no authority, and not even God can take that privilege away. Mercy can only be dispensed by the individual. We need the American Blacks to dispense mercy on the horrific past so that at least we can move on from THE PAST. (The present we can deal separately.)
